About me
Dr. Cuellar joined Spring ISD as Superintendent in September 2025,
bringing more than two decades of educational leadership and a proven track record of
transforming school systems across the nation. Before stepping into this role, he served as
Spring ISD's Chief of Academics & School Leadership, where he worked to strengthen
instructional systems, support campus leaders, and build the foundation for lasting
student success.
Throughout his career, Dr. Cuellar has led improvement efforts in districts across Texas,
Oregon, and Maryland, consistently helping schools raise student achievement, improve
graduation rates, and create greater opportunities for all learners. His leadership is rooted
in the belief that every educator has the power to change the trajectory of a child's life.
Dr. Cuellar leads with a clear vision centered on our district's commitment to Together in
Culture, Together in Accountability, inspiring us to work collectively to ensure every
student receives an exceptional education.
