The path to certification can feel overwhelming, but having a clear plan is essential for continued success in the classroom. This session is designed for uncertified District of Innovation (DOI) teachers who must meet Educator Preparation Program (EPP) requirements to remain eligible for employment and progress toward Texas certification. Teachers will learn the specific requirements needed to earn a Statement of Eligibility (SOE) to receive an intern or probationary certificate, and create a personalized action plan to meet the March 20, 2027, deadline. By the end of the session, teachers will be able to:
identify the requirements for earning an SOE,
explain the minimum certification progress required for continued employment,
analyze their current certification status,
develop a personalized certification completion plan, and
monitor their progress using established milestones and timelines.
