Teachers will practice unpacking lessons to determine what students need to know, where students may struggle, and how teachers can respond in the moment.
Teachers will learn how to:
  • Analyze lessons through the lens of student learning
  • Identify essential questions and key mathematical ideas
  • Anticipate student misconceptions
  • Plan purposeful questioning and checks for understanding
  • Adjust instruction without lowering rigor
