In this interactive session, Adaptive Behavior (AB) teachers will explore how purposeful instructional stations can increase student engagement, promote independence, and support individualized learning goals. As educators work to meet the diverse academic, behavioral, communication, and functional needs of students, effective station design can maximize instructional time and improve student outcomes.

Educators will engage in hands-on learning experiences designed to model effective instructional station structures, analyze examples of high-quality stations, and develop station activities aligned to student needs and IEP goals. By the end of this session, teachers will be able to:

Design instructional stations that align with students’ academic, behavioral, communication, and functional goals.

Implement structured station routines that promote student independence, engagement, and meaningful participation.

Analyze station effectiveness using student performance data to inform instructional decisions.

Create differentiated station activities that address varying levels of student need and support individualized instruction.

Integrate evidence-based instructional strategies and supports within station-based learning environments to improve student outcomes.
